On a Winter Day
After days of El Nino driven storms, the sun finally came out, so I took a walk up on the hill and down the winding road back to the street that leads to our office building. It's almost an hour walk.
While up on the hill, I took this snapshot of a lemon tree.

Mid-Autumn
Daylight Saving Time has ended. It's time to set the clock one hour back. Hello November!
Here's a tree in Los Feliz showing forth it's Autumn splendor. Beautiful against the blue sky.

Gloomy Day
It is the first day of July, yet the overcast, cloudy skies known as “June gloom” continues to linger in Southern California.

Purple Trees in Bloom
The Purple-blue Jacarandas are in full bloom around Los Angeles. They're everywhere just like the pink trees a couple of months ago.

Beautiful Day for a Short Hike
Beginning of the month is usually not as busy at work so I took a short hike with a colleague.
Here’s a snapshot of a small hill we passed by which is covered with gorgeous spring flowers.

Spring Forward >>>
Daylight saving time kicked off at 2 o'clock AM Sunday which means it's time to move the clock an hour ahead.
On our way to church this morning I took this snapshot of the sky before sunrise.

Birdies On Maple Tree
Up, up on a maple tree in front of our house, some doves and a robin are sitting on leafless branches on a cold winter day.

Windy Day
The wind is blowing hard... blowing the last of the Autumn leaves still clinging on the maple tree on the walkway in front of our garden.

Winter Berries
As winter approaches, it is time to look around and enjoy the changing landscape. Autumn colors have faded. Bright red berries are the star of the season -- Winterberry Holly, Firethorn, Bearberry, Hawthorn Berry. They surely add a beautiful contrast to the browns and evergreens.
Here are some photos I snapped during lunch walk with a colleague.

After the rain
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, pit.......ter---pat.....ter.
The rain has stopped.
Silvery raindrops clung to the leaves
The sun reappears on the horizon.
The birds start to sing again.
A happy day!
