Turning the Pages of a Magazine
Little Bundle of Joy is very curious these days and would like to explore his surroundings. One of his favorites is to pull the magazines off the shelf and flip through the pages...

Napping Like a Champ
Like Mommy & Daddy, our Little Bundle of Joy sleeps and naps like a champ :-) He sleeps 9 - 11 hours at night and takes 2 – 3 naps during the day. So incredibly thankful that he could sleep anywhere at any time.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
I love books from an early age. I got it from my Dad. Now, I would like our Little Bundle of Joy to develop a habit of reading as well. I have been reading books to him since he was about two months old. So far his favorite is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. and by Eric Carle. It goes like this… Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? I see a Red Bird looking at me. The Red Bird responds with another animal and so on. He loves it when I slide the tab and reveal the next animal.
Here are some photos of us during our "Learning Time"...

Developmental Milestones: 3 - 4 Months
So our Little Bundle of Joy turns 4 months today. So far...
-- He was able to flip from his back to his tummy and crawled a little bit on May 11th. He hasn't done it
again since.
-- He wants to feed himself, but can really only hang on to his bottle for about 2 minutes.
-- He loves his hands particularly when they are holding his feet.
-- He continues to sleep 6 - 8 hours straight at night. We let him sleep on his crib through the night for
the very first time on May 30th.
-- He can sit with Daddy/Mommy's help, but only for like 30 seconds before flopping. :-)

- He sure loves his little hands and feet –
staring at them and waving them all the time.
- He started to reach and grasp for things.
- He now sleeps 6 – 8 hours straight at night.
- He smiles when he wakes up, during diaper changes and whenever the mood happens to strike.

Developmental Milestones: 1 - 2 Months
-- He burbles all the time especially after
feedings and when getting his diaper changed. Watching him try to
talk is the most amazing feeling.
-- He started to bestow the sweetest smile that melts Daddy and Mommy’s hearts.
-- He continues to love bath time.
-- He sleeps 4-5 hour intervals at night – and, we are so grateful.

Developmental Milestones: 1 Month
He can
follow objects briefly with eyes.
He loves to
look around and likes black and white patterns.
He vocalizes
“oohs” and “aahs” and a variety of strange noises. I love chatting with
him. I can’t wait for him to “talk” more.
He has much
better head control now.
He can hold
his pacifier for a brief moment.
He has been
flashing some occasional smiles although I haven't gotten any
pictures of it.
He usually wakes-up
every 3 hours at night. Husband and I
are usually up about 30 – 45 minutes to feed and change his diaper.
Changing
his diaper is pretty easy unless he decides to wait to poop until he has been
changed and has a brand new diaper on or pee while we are changing.
He now loves
bath time and being naked which he used to detest. He also likes it when he is all wrapped up in
his hooded towel afterwards.
And, he
loves posing for Daddy and Mommy :-)

First Week Home with our Baby
Baby has filled our hearts with so much joy. We spent lots of time just staring at our little one in awe. All of his funny facial expressions and noises make us laugh. He was born during the super bowl so hubby calls it "touchdown" when he raises his arms up. He is also an epic stretcher. Watching him wake up is endlessly entertaining.
Motherhood is a surreal experience and truly life-changing. It is more fulfilling, more exhausting and
more overwhelming than anyone or any book could have prepared me for. The first day home was really hard for me. It
has been a whirlwind of feeding, diaper changes and aches and pains. I was sleep-deprived and beyond exhausted
trying to soak it all in. But that has changed when I realized we have such a
good baby who only cries when he’s hungry. Oh, this baby is such a sweetheart –
he has stolen our hearts!!!
It has been a tremendous help having my husband home for two weeks. I am so sad he has to go back to work next week.
