Turning the Pages of a Magazine

Little Bundle of Joy is very curious these days and would like to explore his surroundings.  One of his favorites is to pull the magazines off the shelf and flip through the pages...

Celebrating Halloween in Toluca Lake

Toluca Lake is one of the best neighborhoods in Los Angeles for trick-or-treating, a perfect event for families with children during Halloween. Trick or Treaters come here by the car loads and the neighborhood goes all out with elaborate decorations. This is after all home to many Hollywood celebrities including Denzel Washington, Andy Garcia,  George Lopez, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Ron Howard, among others – since Universal Studios, Warner Bros., NBC and Disney are literally  a few blocks away. Luckily, we have a friend who also lives here so we get invited to their Halloween Party every year.

We did not dress up, we never do, but our Little Bundle of Joy did – as a Mickey Mouse, the same costume he wore at his school’s Halloween party this past Saturday. He is too young to enjoy it so we took many photos for us to look back one day.  Here are my favorites…

Halloween Potluck at Work

Every year our office cafeteria gets decorated with ghost, goblins and ghouls for our Halloween potluck and costume contest.  I never dress-up for Halloween.  Where I grew up we didn’t celebrate Halloween, now kids do, but during my time we didn’t – so Halloween is not really my thing. But I always join our office potluck which means bringing in some store bought stuff or chipping in with a group who would get pizza and buffalo wings.

This year is like no other because we now have our Little Bundle of Joy and it’s his first Halloween. So after I grabbed food I drove to the Infant Center, dressed him up and brought him to the office. Here are some pictures.

My colleague who dressed-up as the house in the movie “Up” gave him the balloons.

Our Little Tigger

Today, Halloween Day, our Little Bundle of Joy was dressed-up as Tigger in the Infant Center.  I dropped him off a little bit late so I could see the Pre-School kids’ parade.  Around lunch I picked him up and brought him to our office Halloween Potluck then returned him after a couple of hours.

Trick or Treat!
