Loving My Jumperoo
The jumperoo that Grammy bought is the new source of entertainment for our Little Bundle of Joy. He loves the toys around it as well as the music and would jump for almost half an hour as soon as we get home.

Sunday Brunch at The Langham Huntington Hotel
This Sunday we met up with friends for brunch at The Terrace at The Langham Huntington Hotel. We've been to The Dining Room before when Craig Strong was still their Chef de Cuisine and before they changed their name to Royce, so the bar was set pretty high. Oh boy, what a total disappointment! We paid for brunch, yet we basically got an omelet, some dimsum and some fruits. No
carving station, no seafood except for smoked salmon an no desert section. Oh well, just enjoy the view.
Ah, WingStop!
Great wings and fries. What we had…
-Lemon Pepper ("A zesty favorite from coast to coast.")
-Garlic Parmesan ("A great blend of flavors worth wrecking your breath for.")
-Hawaiian “Sweet and tangy. Let's head for the Luau!”

BBQ, Cornbread and Gumbo
We have passed by Gus BBQ countless times but haven't stopped until now. And, after eating there we definitely feel like we have been missing out. The cornbread was amazing as was the fried catfish. The BBQ, mmmmm.... finger lickin good! The gumbo, the best we ever had.
What a pleasant surprise!

Look Who's on the Table Now
Our Little Bundle of Joy is always on the swing whenever I pick him up in the afternoon -- so, it was truly a delight to see him on the table with the older babies today.

Who Said I'm Asleep?
When I went to pick-up our Little Bundle of Joy, one of the teachers told me he's asleep. Look at what I found when I went to the room to check out...

Back to the Gym
My first trip back to the gym after giving birth. I have a new gym body this time, my husband, who wants to get back into shape too.

First Day at Montessori
Today is our Little Bundle of Joy’s first day at Montessori. Wow, time surely went by so fast!
- He finished four 4 oz bottles
- They changed his diaper 5 times
- He took a nap three times
I’m so glad his first day at the day care center went out so well!
Sunday,
husband and I labeled and prepped his stuff (extra clothes, crib sheet,
earthquake kit, receiving blanket, bottles, formula, diaper and wipes).
Then Monday I woke him up at 6:30 AM, bathe him and then dropped him off at 8 AM. He was on a swing smiling and playing with a toy when I left. Around noon I stopped by to check on him but he was taking a nap along with the other babies. Around 4:30 PM,
I went back to pick him up. He smiled when he saw me, then smiled to
everyone as we walked out of the facility.
His report shows…
- They changed his diaper 5 times
- He took a nap three times
I’m so glad his first day at the day care center went out so well!
5 Months and 5000+ Emails Later...
Yes, I'm back to work from maternity leave to exactly the same job, same parking spot and same workspace.
My colleagues are happy to see me so I spent most of the day chatting about the baby and plowing through 5000+ emails waiting in my mailbox. Yes, being back means getting back into the work routine... reports, deadlines, meetings and presentations, but it's moments like this that remind me how lucky I am to be doing what I love doing and to be working alongside great and talented people.
Happy Monday to y'all!
