Travel Flashback: The Imperial Silver Collection


Housed in the Hofburg Palace,  the Silver Collection gives visitors a glimpse of the grand life of Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Empress Elisabeth of Austria.  It is an  impressive collection of porcelain, glassware, silverware, table linens, centerpiece ensembles of up to 30 meters in length and cooking utensils necessary for running the imperial household. Also on display are handwritten recipes, shopping list and menu cards.
