Baby has filled our hearts with so much joy. We spent lots of time just staring at our little one in awe. All of his funny facial expressions and noises make us laugh. He was born during the super bowl so hubby calls it "touchdown" when he raises his arms up. He is also an epic stretcher. Watching him wake up is endlessly entertaining.
Motherhood is a surreal experience and truly life-changing. It is more fulfilling, more exhausting and
more overwhelming than anyone or any book could have prepared me for. The first day home was really hard for me. It
has been a whirlwind of feeding, diaper changes and aches and pains. I was sleep-deprived and beyond exhausted
trying to soak it all in. But that has changed when I realized we have such a
good baby who only cries when he’s hungry. Oh, this baby is such a sweetheart –
he has stolen our hearts!!!
It has been a tremendous help having my husband home for two weeks. I am so sad he has to go back to work next week.
