Thai Take-Out on a Friday Night
Yes, tonight is "take-out" night from one of our favorite Thai restaurants. Husband called on his way home from work if I like pizza, Chinese or Thai. Needless to say, Thai won. It's a mutual decision. It's always "us" in this household when it comes to decision making no matter how small it is... like deciding on what or where to eat.
To backpedal a bit, pre-baby days days, Friday Night = Date Night. Nowadays, it's more of a take-out night. Anyway, back to our dinner tonight, we had Crying Tiger, Egg Rolls, Pad See Ew, Green Curry and Creamy Tofu. Yum! But too much food for two people, as I had expected. Whenever husband orders food, there's always tons of leftover.
Baby Einstein Baby Lullaby Discovery Kit
Greetings from our living room! How’s everyone doing on this lovely Friday morning? Me and the Little Bundle of Joy just finished listening to Johann Sebastian Bach from Baby Einstein Baby Lullaby Discovery Kit. He loves the soothing sound of the songs. I do too since I like classical music.
This morning I woke up at five and waited for the baby to wake up. We put him on his crib for the very first time last night which means I had to sleep in his room on the floor so I’m sort of sleep deprived at the moment. More on that on a separate blog. Gotta take a nap while baby is asleep.
You can find it here Einstein Baby Lullaby Discovery Kit if you would like to check it out.
Happy weekend to y'all!

Thursday Date Night at Elephant Bar
Elephant Bar and Michael's Bar & Grill are my go to places for Jambalaya in the San Fernando Valley. Today husband and I picked the newly-opened Elephant Bar in Northridge.
To start, we had Artichoke Dip and Parmesan Crusted Green Beans. Husband had Rib-Eye and Jumbo Prawns for his main course. I had Jambalaya, of course. I think their Jambalaya fits better on my taste than their Burbank branch. We are coming back here for sure.

The Belvedere at The Peninsula - Beverly Hills
Husband took me to The Belvedere at The Peninsula in Beverly Hills for my birthday. I would say it was perfect in every way. The surroundings: opulent, the food: top quality, and most of all the staff made me feel very special.

Oh, What a Wonderful Sunday!
This past Sunday we had brunch with my mother-in-law at Granville Café at The Americana in Glendale. I had Chipotle Chicken Club Sandwich with Avocado, Red Onions, Cheese, Bacon, Organic Spring Greens drizzled with Red Wine Vinaigrette.... YUM!
After brunch we went for a leisurely stroll at The Americana. Mom got polo shirts (Nemo and Cars) for our Little Bundle of Joy from the Disney store. Usually, we stop by Barnes & Noble, but on Sunday Mom was in a shopping mode for a purse so we went to Glendale Galleria before heading to Neiman Marcus at Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills. Mom got a Prada purse and she also bought me a Tory Burch purse (photo here). As I already said in my previous blog, I'm incredibly blessed to have such a loving and generous mother-in-law.
And now, here are some photos from our Sunday stroll....

Watching UEFA Championship at Ye Olde King's Head
Husband is a huge football fan or should I say sports fan as he is also into Formula 1, Cycling, Basketball, American Football, Golf and Tennis. When it comes to football his favorite teams include Bayern, Barca and Inter Milan.
Yesterday was UEFA Championship and two German teams FC Bayen Munich and Borussia Dortmund played in the finals at Wembley Stadium in London.
We could not go to London to watch the game so we settled at a British Pub Ye Olde King's Head in Studio City with two other friends. Ye Olde is our go to place in Santa Monica so we're so glad they opened up a branch nearby. Love, love their Fish & Chips. It's like going to England without leaving Los Angeles.
Anyway, going back to the game, it was neck and neck between the two teams and the pub became too loud for our Little Bundle of Joy to handle so my friend and I decided to take him along for a walk while husband and the other friend continued watching. In the end Bayern won, but it was a "humdinger of a game" as my husband always say.

Exploring Museums and Great Works of Art
I am passionate about museums and galleries. I can spend an entire day contemplating art. I became interested in art when I was in college, but where I came from I could only see masterpieces by famous artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne and Picasso in pictures or read about them in books. When I moved to Los Angeles my husband brought me to The Getty Museum and that’s when my love for art grew stronger.
Here’s a picture of me at The Getty during our most recent visit.

Travel Flashback: Rothenburg, Germany
A colleague/friend of mine drove us from Nuremberg to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a charming medieval town located along the Romantic Road in the Franconia Region of Bavaria. From the parking lot, we walked on the city wall and into cobblestone streets to The Plönlein (Little Square), the most picturesque spot in Rothenburg.
